Disclosures

Affiliate disclosure

Some pages on this site may contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change how the calculators work: every result is computed only from the numbers you enter and the formula shown on the tool page.

Product mentions in guides are not product tests. This site does not carry out laboratory or field testing of products, and it does not publish measured performance results.

Image license information

The logo and graphics on this site are original SVG and CSS artwork created for this site. No stock photographs or third-party images are used on the pages listed here. If an article uses a third-party image, its source and license are stated next to the image.

Scope and limits of the tools and guides

• The calculators perform geometry and unit conversions. They do not check compliance with any building code, energy code or rating program.
• Nothing on this site is structural, engineering or legal advice. For a real project, consult qualified professionals and the authority having jurisdiction where you build.
• Material and product figures you enter (R-values, box coverage, dimensions) should come from the manufacturer's documentation or your own measurements.

Data you type into the tools

The calculators run in your browser using JavaScript. The values you type are processed on your device and are not sent to a server by the calculators.
